The objective of this article is to audit the tracking strategies, characterize them into distinctive classifications, further more distinguish new patterns. Tracking the targets undergoes various classic problem because of variety of reasons, including camera movement , illumination variability, occlusions and drift problem. To give an improvement to the solution of drift problem in online tracking a separate section called compression tracking has been chosen. In this review, we have taken various compression tracking techniques along with their working, merits and demerits. This paper we have given some tenets to avoid the heavy occlusion by using L1 regularization.
